Two is a fantastic number. When you have two objects, you can set them side-by-side to juxtapose them. And you can see a lot more in this way, even if you take almost random objects.
I came across this fount of knowledge in the common space today. Campbell's Biologie – the classic textbook rendered into French(!) Since 2008 or 2009 when I started paying attention to the subject, there has scarcely been a year when I did not hear the name. Campbell's Biology. My naive view is that if you understand it cover to back, they should award you a Master's in Bio.
Disponible dans toute La Gaule! Of course you can get the latest Astérix everywhere in France. What sort of France would it be if you could not? I bet Astérix is sold even during la grève, national holidays and days of national mourning. For without Astérix, the country would have to invent a fictitious identity! And what would it be – one based on sport? Or cuisine? 😀
Two objects representing two cultural phenomenons meeting in one mind. And does it make see? I dare say – tongue in cheek but not without sincerity– that this exercise be best left for the reader:)
